Province Disaster Management Committee (DMC) takes efforts to enhance the livelihood options to the COVID-19 affected people

A Disaster Management Committee (DMC) is formed at the Jesuit Chennai Province (CEN) level to work for Enhancing Livelihood Options to the COVID-19 affected people of Tamil Nadu who belong to the marginalized and disadvantaged sections of the society. This is in collaboration with funding agencies and well wishers of Jesuit institutions.

The beneficiaries of this project are the marginalized and disadvantaged sections of the society -Tribal Communities from Tribal Missions (PARAN and JESIM) and poor Dalits in our Social Action Centers and Parishes.

Activities:

Supply of provisions (Dry food Materials) to Tribal, Migrant and Dalit, communities.
Providing the Preventive measures to the most disadvantaged people (Medical Aid/ Sanitises etc).
Promote the indigenous medicine to build up the immune system.
