On 12 June 2025, the Jesuit Chennai Province marked a significant milestone with the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed Ansaldo Jesuit Residence. The ceremony was led by Fr. Jebamalai Irudayaraj SJ, Provincial, who blessed the residence and officially opened its doors.

The event was graced by the presence of many religious from the Tindivanam and Gingee vicariates, as well as Jesuits from various communities. A solemn Eucharistic Celebration followed the blessing, drawing the gathered community into a spirit of thanksgiving and hope for the mission ahead.

The celebration concluded with a joyful banquet, shared in fraternity, making the day truly memorable for all present. The Ansaldo Jesuit Residence now stands as a symbol of continued commitment to service and community life in the region.
